- Theoretical Evolutionary Biology
During my PhD tenure (2018-2023) at this department, I had developed theoretical models in the context of the RNA World hypothesis and carried out in silico evolution experiments, to address various questions related to the Origin of Life and ultimately showed how protocells containing DNA encoded heritable traits could have emerged on the primitive earth, starting from free nucleotides only.
